SWolta was started by operators who spent their careers building products, teams and data platforms inside fast-moving companies. We work the way we'd want a partner to work with us: in the team, honest about trade-offs, accountable for results.
The name nods to svolta, Italian for "turning point", and blends our names: Stefani + White.
The team
Julia Stefani
Founder & CEO
18 years in product and engineering, from individual contributor to leading product, design and engineering teams. Originally from Albania, Julia moved to the US in 2004 to study computer science and finance. Payments at Meta, part of the San Francisco founding team at Expedia, the Invest team at SoFi, and now Chief Product Officer at Treasure Financial. Deep fintech expertise. Julia also runs a portfolio career that includes an e-commerce business and real estate.
Matthew White
Co-founder
Almost 20 years in data and technology, growing from engineer to executive, with deep expertise in healthtech. Matt spent the first decade of his career as a consultant at Accenture and now serves as Data and Innovation Officer at Contra Costa Health Services, bringing modern technology to public health services. Outside work: gymnastics, mountain biking, and building zoos with his two toddlers.
